Hey everyone, we’re back!
The place that they’re going to is based on this place I used to go to as a youth… It was basically a skate rink, dance floor, and I think had arcade games, too. Either way, Astro Rink has an arcade, too, because it’s the 80s.
Don’t forget, this weekend is Green Mt. Comic Expo, and I’ll be at table 45!
…probably should have resolved that last cliffhanger before going to the roller rink, but hey.
Arcades. They’re actually making a comeback in some places. They’ve added bars, so they’re called barcades now,and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing–fights over Mortal Kombat outcomes were bad enough without three whiskeys in you–but any return of the arcade is good enough by me.
Oh yeah, I remember those dance/roller-rink places. The one we went to used to have alot of dark neon and a giant spot-lit mirror-ball that spun while the skakers went around.
That’s pretty similar to the place I went to… I wish I remembered the name!
