When she was a little girl, a pack of rabid politicians swooped down on her family’s home and raised taxes. They couldn’t go to Disneyland that year like they’d planned. Ever since, she’s had a rabid distrust of politicians, and couldn’t bear to see her friend become one of those money-hungry monsters.
Well, it was more due to Jenny dying in an alternate future while pursuing a career path of a politician… But that works too!
…you know, I’d actually forgotten about that storyline.
Perhaps Alicia does not quite completely gets this whole concept of an ALTERNATE universe here.
