Halfway to Granite Con recap!

OK, so it's not a comic update but I didn't want to leave you guys with nothing, so here's a quick recap of what happened this past Sunday, at Halfway to Granite Con! LOCATION Well, it was totally easy to get to because it was right downstairs from our hotel room... And parking was free and we got really good spots both days we were down there. Which definitely made getting our supplies in and out pretty easy. I definitely liked not having to drive anywhere to get from where I was staying to the Con! And Concord has lots of places to eat nearby. Because we didn't have much time to eat while getting set up, Dean was able to drive right down the street to get Dunkin' Donuts, so that was good. My booth was kind of tucked away in one of the corners, which I think made it a little more difficult to get people to find us, but we did get a few customers. Even though this was only our second Con, I think we're getting better at setting up our booth in a beneficial way. MERCH I'm definitely thinking price labels are going to a benefit in the future... Even though I made up a nice new price list, I guess it's still a little hard for people to tell what the prices of stuff are. But the price changes I did make seemed to pique people's interest. Once we attend our next Con in June I think it's going to be a little easier to tell. The Five Nights at Freddy's piece is still by far the most popular! I didn't sell out, but since this was only a five-hour Con, I think it's safe to say it'll probably sell out again next Con. I might have to do a new, updated FNAF picture for the future, we'll see! OVERALL It was a small, quick Con... Definitely some great artists and comic creators, but I think the majority of attendees were there just to buy older comics. Which is totally fine, I would've bought some too if I wasn't trying to just make money XD Although the table was pretty inexpensive, and I very much loved the eight-foot table, I'm not sure if it's worth the drive down, gas, food costs, etc. to warrant a trip down next year. The most fulfilling part of the trip was the other cool artists I got to meet with and make connections with in person and online. So, we probably won't make the trip again next year, but we may try to make Granite Con next September, and fortunately there will be a Con less than a mile from my house next April! So definitely looking forward to that. So next week... New comic!

  1. Having only just recently played The Binding of Isaac, I was surprised to recognize the painting therein.

I’ve never seen a game involve weaponized tears, or that much poo in one place.

    1. It’s an addictive game, isn’t it?

      1. Worse, there’s a lot more to it than it initially suggests. By the time you start finding multiple replays and unlock paths, this thing turns into an epic-tier time sink.

  2. I really like the la muerte and Xibalba picture

    1. Thank you, I love it, too ^_^ Here’s the full picture

      1. I have a title for the page when they are all in the van , “let me drive my van in to your heart.”
