Counterpart

I think this page pretty much speaks for itself ;) By the way, I started the sketch for the 10-year anniversary poster! Not my first idea, but I'm liking it so far. I'll definitely post it up on Tumblr or something when the sketch is done :)

  1. The best part of this is that each likely considers the other’s universe to be the “evil universe.” Alicia’s probably thinking that after running into Creepy Jason and…whatever that was Jenny was. Meanwhile, Corky’s considering her alternate universe spinoff and cringing in existential horror.

    1. Ooh, nice catch, I hadn’t noticed at first.

      1. “Borderline” obsessed. No, he cleared customs and is currently building condos.

  2. I especially like the “split face” effect there. Nicely done.

    1. Thanks, Corbin!

  3. The funny thing about this is…

The old Corky, the Corky we met from the flashbacks, the Corky before she was made “popular”… these two seem like they would be similar. The current Corky is the polar opposite of her “Alternate” self… but I feel like they’re not polar opposites by nature. Just by situation (did she ever meet Erin and her brother?). And perhaps intelligence, but we’ve been given no indication that our normal Corky isn’t smart (though maybe not Chris smart). She just has different priorities.

Or it could be that confidence is the major deciding factors between the world’s different Corky’s. This one had the confidence to be herself, not having to change to make friends. The other one lacked that confidence, and made it up by being spiteful and petty, taking out her frustrations on others.

Hm. So add empathy to that list as well. But still. Maybe I’m just trying to redeem Corky A a bit because I always have felt a bit sorry for her.

I like this arc so far. Looks interesting.

    1. I like you, Will. You think outside the box 😉
