These ARE the go-go eighties, after all. The US is positively lousy with ninja movies at this point, especially if we’re working on the late eighties. The early eighties, things were starting. Chuck Norris did The Octagon, and the fodder for one of the best Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes ever had just been released in Sho Kosugi’s “The Master” series. It’s the perfect time to be a freelance ninja. Or maybe just a technical consultant on ninja film.
Good idea. But the trouble with playing a ninja on film is it makes it hard to be one in real life. Can’t be inconspicuous with random people recognizing you…
However, a stunt double in a ninja film has no such problems. 🙂
