An Artist In The Making

And so it begins. My very first web comic has finally made it online. I'm so proud of myself! No longer am I a procrastinator! I feel special. Anyway, that's enough gloating. JD is my first web comic, but not my first comic. I've drawn random comics for myself and other since I was a little kid. I guess I should go on about this... I'll eventually make it into a link. Umm...so, the main character is Alicia Barker, and she sings and plays guitar. She's a total punk, and almost everything she listens to is punk rock. She's obsessed with Tom Cruise, pizza and the Sex Pistols. More on that to come. The song she's playing is "California Uber-Alles" by the Dead Kennedys. That's about it. See ya! SP.

  1. I’d like to be a procrastinator, but I never find the time to get around to it.

  2. Hey! I’ve never actually commented on here before but I’ve been reading JD for a really long time now. Like a crazy long time. Give or take 8 years maybe. The thing is, even if I don’t actually read it in a weekly basis and I’ve forgotten some of the plot, I always come back after months (or years) and catch up. Like it or not, JD is a constant presence throughout my life and seeing it evolve into the comic it is now feels a little bit like meeting your old friend from middle school. It’s been a whirlwind really. Thinking about it, was probably a big influence on me – I’m in a band now even though I couldn’t even play an instrument when I first read this! This is really long but I just wanted you to know that I appreciate JD for entertaining me for all those years. And maybe even in the years to come.

    1. Aaah, you’re going to make me cry! In a good way, of course! X’) I’m so happy that my little comic has been such a huge influence on you! The comic’s always been about sharing a bit of my life through cartoons, so I’m really happy that you’ve experienced joy through it. I’m very pleased you’ve enjoyed it thus far, and I have a feeling you will continue to enjoy it in the future. Good luck with your band, and rock on! \m/(^^)\m/
